SIHH 2018: The MBF Swiss Rolex Replica 2.

Five years have passed since the first collaboration between MB&F & Stepan Sarpaneva's 2012 Swiss Rolex Replica, which was based upon Horological Machine Ndeg3 'Frog'.Swiss Replica Watches The original Swiss Rolex Replica 1 was stunning, but the new Swiss Rolex Replica 2 is even more impressive, featuring the Sarpaneva moons rotating through a metallised Korona on a movement sapphire crystal.

The 2018 Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie is being watched by a crazy moon.

Swiss Rolex Replica 2 is the first world-wide projected moonphase. It echoes the natural phenomenon of moonlight, which is actually projected sunlight since the moon doesn't emit any light of its own.

Swiss Rolex Replica 2's base is Horological Machine Ndeg8, a Horological Machine that uses an optical prism to transmit horizontal readings of hours and minutes onto a plane vertically. This provides the famous "heads up" display of HM8 (and its predecessors HM5 & HMX).

Swiss Rolex Replica 2 has a moonphase disc that is set with miniature moons. It can be found between the hour- and minute-discs. The most fascinating thing about the moonphase indicator is, as with the time display is its ability to appear in a space too small for it to be fully contained. The hour and minute discs have been magnified by 20 percent using the prisms. However, the moonphase prism does not provide magnification as it would distort its appearance. The prisms are clearly separated, which highlights MB&F’s dedication to finding the best solution for every display.

Between the minute and hour discs is a moonphase disc. It contains miniature moons.

Swiss Rolex Replica 2 has three gold moons. One is 8.5mm wide and 0.45mm thick. Two smaller moons are 4.5mm diameter and whisper-thin 0.35mm. These smaller moons, which are 0.07mm in diameter around the eyes at their thinnest point, can be easily perforated and must be discarded. Because of their small dimensions,Swiss Rolex Replica even Stepan Sarpaneva's team can barely distinguish their features. This makes hand-finishing extremely difficult.

These are the smallest moons Stepan Sarpaneva created. He estimates that due to the extreme challenges involved in producing them, about 80 percent will be eventually discarded.
